MercerMe is a collaborative hyper-local Mercer County news and lifestyle website. And we hope to provide our readers with valuable, informative and funny news and information. And we’re loving it.
Mary is a lawyer and stay-at-home mom to two friendly and talkative little girls and wife to an almost endlessly sweet husband.
Originally from Brooklyn, Mary has progressively moved deeper and deeper into New Jersey, settling in the heart of the state: Mercer County. She and her mostly merry gang live in the charming town of Hopewell lovingly maintaining their very old house. Mary is no stranger to blogging or participating in hyperlocal blog news. Formerly of Mary’s Lame Attempt at Fame, she was even mentioned, albeit briefly, in the New York Times and Washington Post (can’t find a link to that one). In her free time, Mary fills her life with mild germaphobia, enthusiastic television viewing, fitness and misguided adventures in random hobbies.
Merritt McGlynn, Lawrenceville Editor
Also a transplant to New Jersey and Mercer County, Merritt McGlynn is walking a tightrope between career woman and devoted mother: hanging on for dear life with her dishpan hands. Merritt is a mom to two of the most adorable children in Jersey: a darling and spunky 4-year-old and a certifiably insane but heart-melting almost-3-year-old. Married to the always-working “Coach”, Merritt tries to maintain some appearance of a work-life balance, and often finds that the scales are usually tipped in one direction or the other – but she’s still trying! In her spare time, if she ever gets any, Merritt would like to read books, travel with her husband, drink margaritas on the deck, and one day, if she’s really lucky, enjoy a phone conversation without interruptions. For now, she’ll settle for 20 minutes of an Audrey Hepburn movie and a diet coke.
Andrea Fereshteh has been writing for as long as she can remember. An avid journal-keepr as a child, she dabbled in dramatic notes to her parents and designed her own stationary. With a zest for small talk and meeting new people, she pursued journalism in college and worked for nine years in PR, writing and media relations for the higher ed and nonprofit sectors. She has a mousters and ducktorate from Disney University and is a mother to two lively boys who inspire her to just keep writing, just keep writing.
