Award-Winning Local Author Imbalzano Releases Third Novel

by MercerMe Staff

“Sworn to Forget” is the first novel in the Sworn Sisters Series released this month for worldwide distribution. Due to the positive reception received for her first two books, “Unchained Memories” and “Dancing in the Sand,” The Wild Rose Press signed Imbalzano to a multi-book contract for this series about four high school girlfriends, now in their early thirties, who are each going through life-changing events.

In “Sworn to Forget,” Nicki Reading is a sharp, successful PR director at a major music label where she confidently calls the shots. She brings that strong independence into her personal life where she dates whom she wants, when she wants. Commitment is not an option. Until Dex Hanover enters the picture. Dex, a CPA, wears his paternal yearnings on his sleeve and is at a point in his life where commitment is the only option.

“Sworn to Forget” is now available in print and for e-readers through Amazon.com, WildRosePublishing.com, BarnesandNoble.com, iTunes and several other eBook vendors.

The public is invited to the “Sworn to Forget” book launch celebration Wednesday July 25 at Marsilio’s Kitchen, 71 W. Upper Ferry Rd., Ewing, NJ hosted by the author, Alan and Denise Meinster, and Chris Pyne. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Trenton Literacy Movement, a non-profit working with the Trenton Public Schools to supplement classroom instruction with after-school reading programs.

Maria Imbalzano, a well-known and successful family law attorney at Stark & Stark for over thirty years recently retired, and is now writing full time to pursue her dream job. “The transition was easy,” says Imbalzano. “Instead of going to the office every day and helping my clients navigate the thorny path through divorce, I now work in my home office helping my characters work through their challenges and conflicts to find happiness and love.”

While quite different from her legal career, Imbalzano says she “relish[es] jumping into the fantasy world I create, which allows these very real characters to learn, grow and ultimately find what they are looking for in life. Bringing this world to my readers, by giving them an escape from their struggles of everyday life is even better.”

In addition to writing, Imbalzano gives motivational speeches about balancing a stressful career with family life, as well as transitioning from one career to another.
