By way of unanimous resolution at the Hopewell Township committee meeting tonight, Detective Francis “Frank” Tulko was promoted to the position of Sergeant in the Hopewell Township Police Department.

Detective Tulko was born and raised in Port Reading, New Jersey, and has been with the Hopewell Township Police Department since February of 2000. Starting as a General Duty Patrol Officer, he moved his way to traffic duty and then Detective.

“Over the years he has been presented with several awards and accommodations,” said Hopewell Township Police Department Chief Lance Maloney, in presenting the resolution.

“Be it resolved on this 11th day of April 2016, by the Township Committee of the Township of Hopewell, County of Mercer, State of New Jersey, that Detective Francis Tulko be promoted to Sergeant effective April 11, 2016.”
