Gas line struck in Pennington area, Expect Traffic on RT 31

At around 4/4:30 today, a contractor hit a gas main on Broemel Place in Pennington. Route 31 to be shut down is shut down and traffic is currently being diverted at the circle.

The Pennington Police Department and Hopewell Township Police are on the scene and address the traffic and safety issues.

It is recommended to avoid the area, if possible, until the situation is cleared.
