Help a Local Child in Need Head Back to School

by Andrea Fereshteh

As families across Central New Jersey hit the stores picking up pencils, paper and new clothes in preparation for a new school year, some parents and students are unsure how they’ll purchase everything needed on the school supply list.

Luckily HomeFront NJ, serving homeless and at risk families across Central Jersey, is hosting its annual back-to-school. supply and fundraising drive again this month.

HomeFront is seeking sponsors for an area child or children in need to shop for clothes, shoes and school supplies ahead of the school year. You can sign up to sponsor a child – or several children. You will be given the age, sex, clothing and shoes sizes of the child(ren) assigned to you, along with the school supplies needed, and you can begin shopping.

For more information on sponsoring a local child heading back to school this fall, call 609-989-9417, ext 133 or email [email protected]. You can also visit www.homefrontnj.org for information on how to donate directly to HomeFront’s back to school drive.
