I used to mini-golf at Pine Creek Miniature Golf, in Ringoes, before we had kids. My husband, who is from Pennington, mini-golfed there long before he knew me. Just outside of Hopewell Township, it is along the route to (our favorite) Home Depot up on Flemington. For the past couple of years, we’ve peered longingly at its closed facility wishing it would reopen. And it did this spring!

pine creek 2Pine Creek boasts “gimmick free” courses — so no windmills, no jungle animals (although the water in their “creek” is shockingly blue). And, while the greens are astroturf, the surrounding 12 acres is natural vegetation.

Aesthetics aside, there are two 18 hole miniature golf courses that can be pretty challenging but are still fun for kids and adults of any age.

Last Sunday, my husband and I took our nearly 3 year old and nearly 6 year old for our first family mini-golf outing ever. And the kids had a blast. We had fun too.

Pine Creek is located at 394 Route 31N, West Amwell, NJ. They’ve got some generous hours but check their website before you head out to make sure it is open.
