The Family Breastfeeding Association monthly meeting has a new time and location — the next one is TOMORROW January 15th.

FBA is a Mercer County non-profit volunteer organization that offers support, education and encouragement to nursing mothers by trained volunteers who themselves are or were nursing mothers.

They also operate a 24-hour breastfeeding help hotline (888-322-1843).

If you are breastfeeding (or even plan to) and live in Mercer County, you should check them out. I met some wonderful people through the group and felt so enveloped by the warmth, support, judgment-free environment and knowledge the group possesses.

I was introduced to FBA at the Hopewell Harvest Fair, where FBA had a breastfeeding tent. DaughterTwo was 1 week old and we were experiencing some BF’ing problems. Their table was manned by two amazingly kind and knowledgeable women to whom I am still indebted today.
