Pedestrian Struck By Vehicle in Hopewell Borough

At 9:07 p.m. on May 14, 2015, the Hopewell Township Police Department responded to a pedestrian motor vehicle crash on West Broad Street at the intersection of N. Greenwood Avenue.

Marian Labos, a 34 year old female from Hopewell Borough was crossing West Broad Street southbound when a Jeep Cherokee driven by Jeffrey Vandewater, 59 years of age from Hopewell Township was making a left turn from S. Greenwood Avenue northbound onto West Broad Street westbound. The jeep struck Ms. Labos within the designated crosswalk.

Ms. Labos was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center by the Hopewell Fire Department Emergency Medical Unit. Her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Mr. Vandewater was issued a summons for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

The crash remains under investigation by Patrol Officer Mandy Grey.
