UPDATED: Pennington Fire Company to host Mercer County Fire Parade, plus pancake breakfast details

The Pennington Fire Company will be hosting the 2016 Mercer County Fire Parade in honor of their 125th anniversary on Saturday October 1, 2016. This story has been updated to reflect a changed date for the pancake breakfast.The parade, of fire trucks and marching units from about 30 fire companies units, will start at 1pm at the Pennington Administration Building and will proceed from Main Street to Delaware Avenue.

Festivities and refreshments will be follow at Rosedale Park after the parade. Scoville Blues will be playing music and there will be hot dogs and soda, along with a small beer tent.

The Pennington Fire Company will also be hosting their Annual Pancake Breakfast and Open House this year on Sunday October 23th from 8am-noon [editor’s note, date has been changed to 10/23 from the original 10/9 date]. All you can eat pancakes, bacon, sausage, home fries, toast, and scrambled eggs. Visit your local firehouse, get a great breakfast, and show your support for our volunteer firefighters. Come early before they sell out!

Updated 10/7 to reflect the new date of the pancake breakfast, which has moved to 10/23 due to parking lot paving at the Fire House.
