Pennington Loves Ballin’ at Church

by Community Contributor

If you’ve ever driven through downtown Pennington Borough, past Vito’s Pizza, on the way to St. James Church, the last thing you would imagine hearing are the sounds of basketballs bouncing and sneakers squeaking on a hardwood court.

Yet tucked away in the corner wing of the Church, much to your surprise, exists a full indoor basketball court…and every Tuesday and Thursday evening you will find two hard working young gentlemen there teaching the game of basketball to wide-eyed youngsters of all ages.

Tyreek McNear and Bilal Benjamin have dedicated much of their lives to offering basketball training clinics to local youths, developing many into burgeoning high school stars and seeing some all the way to major college programs. Their brand, Love Ballin, LLC (www.loveballin.com), offers hands-on skills training at affordable prices. The pair will be offering classes throughout the spring and summer. For more information, please visit their website.
