Advisory update from Princeton Police Department at 2:08pm: Panera Bread situation remains unchanged. A standoff with an armed man at the Panera Bread in Princeton is continuing at this time. The situation is contained within the store. The immediate area of the store has been evacuated and police continue to negotiate with the armed man. The immediate area of Nassau Street between Washington and Witherspoon St. is closed to all traffic. Stay away from the area. Until further notice.

UPDATE from Princeton University 1 p.m.: Law enforcement officials continue to negotiate with an armed man whom Municipality of Princeton police have surrounded inside the Panera restaurant across Nassau Street from campus.

The following is a message shared by the Princeton Police Department as of around 10:50am on 3/20/18: POLICE EMERGENCY NASSAU STREET SHUT DOWN BETWEEN WASHINGTON AND WITHERSPOON NO TRAFFIC PERMITTED

Police are investigating a man with a gun call at Panera bread in Nassau Street. Stay out of the area.
