Series of Break-Ins Hits Brandon Farms Neighborhood

by Andrea Fereshteh

In an email to residents of the Brandon Farms neighborhood in Hopewell Township earlier this week, Property Owners Association contact Adam McCallum informed residents of a series of break-ins that occurred recently in the community.

According to the email the following incidents were reported:

  • Officers responded to a Brewster Court alarm activation on Sunday June 1st at approximately 9:45 PM. A rear window had been tampered with and damaged. No entry was made and nothing was reported stolen. An audible alarm most likely scared them away.
  • Officers responded to an East Stanford Road residence on Thursday June 5th at approximately 3:15 PM. Someone forced the locked front door open sometime between 8:30 AM and 3:15 PM. Money, jewelry and assorted items were taken from the home.
  • Officers responded to a Henley Place residence on Thursday June 5th at approximately 8:50 PM. Someone forced the locked front door open sometime between 8:50 AM and 8:30 PM. Jewelry was taken from the home.

The email stated that the burglaries on June 5th are believed to be related, and Hopewell Township Police have assigned a detective to the cases. Residents are encouraged to contact Detective Christopher Vaccarino (609-737-3100 ext. 532) with any information regarding the investigations.

The email also encouraged residents to lock all doors and windows when they are away from home and arm their home security systems when they are not home. Residents are also urged to contact police upon noticing any strange person(s) and/or vehicles in the area.
