Last month, I had the pleasure of attending a Special Olympics fundraiser at the law firm Hill Wallack in Princeton, where I met Unionville Vineyards who were donating a wine tasting, complete with one of their sommelier. They are a great local vineyard and we at MercerMe are excited to spread the word about some of their upcoming events!

pig-roast-2014smUnionville Vineyards is hosting “Swirling Wine with the Swine,” a pig roast at the vineyards on Friday, May 2, at 7 PM. The event includes: roast pig, sides, appetizers, and desserts provided by the Stoltzfus Family, along with Unionville’s own wines, Swine Sangria, and Piggy Punch — all to the tune of live bluegrass music. Tickets are $45 per person available online.

The “Spring Festival” will be on Saturday, May 10 from 12-6 PM. Tastings and tours will be offered all day. Wine and food talks will be offered under the “Speaker Tent” from respected figures including Deborah Smith, founder of Jersey Bites, while two bands will provide live music throughout the afternoon. Kids’ activities include an aroma workshop and flower pot painting. Antimo’s Italian Kitchen and gourmet food vendors will offer lunch and snacks. Tickets available online — $20 for adults and $10 for designated drivers and 13 through 20 year-olds .

For more information on either event, please contact Stacy Brody at or (908) 788-0400.
