The Hopewell Public Library will be presenting a lecture about our local bridges spanning the Delaware River on Wednesday, September 26that 7pm, at the Hopewell Train Station. Speaker Joe Donnelly, of the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission, will discuss the history of the county’s Delaware River bridges, illustrated with historic photographs, news items, documents, and maps.

Third Annual Historic Camp Meeting Revival to Benefit Stoutsburg Sourland African American Museum
The public is invited to attend the Third Annual Historic Camp Meeting Revival on September 29, 2018 at 11am-2pm in Skillman Park (across Route 601 from the Montgomery High Schoolin Skillman, NJ) featuring the Capital City Gospel Singers and special guest, Bertha Morgan. Popular speaker and East Amwell Historian, Jim Davidson, will also present a history of the African-American community in the Sourland region.

Howell Living History Farm will hold its 35th annual Plowing Match on Saturday, September 1, from 10am until 4pm. A dozen teams of draft animals from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York are entered in the match, testing the performance of farmers, and their horses and oxen.
