Mark your calendars for three upcoming events to benefit Mercer County’s Womanspace, Inc. based in Lawrenceville, NJ. Womanspace is a nonprofit agency providing services to individuals and families impacted by domestic and sexual violence. Womanspace serves the community by offering outreach crisis intervention programs, providing emergency shelter, counseling, court advocacy and housing services.
Womanspace receives funding from the State of New Jersey, the County of Mercer and contributions from individuals, organizations, foundations and corporations; asserting that no victim of domestic violence or sexual assault will be turned away due to an inability to pay.
Domestic violence and sexual assault are not just women’s issues, and they are not just individual or family problems. Violence against women is a human issue, and a social problem. It’s up to the community to take a stand against abuse, hold abusers accountable for their behavior and protect victims.
Join Womanspace for April’s Sexual Assault Awareness Month and consider contributing to their amazing cause.
