Last summer, we covered the long journey of James Leitner, a Scotch Plains, NJ native, as he walked 3,250 miles from Princeton, NJ to San Francisco, CA while pulling 10 gallons of water to symbolize the distance children walk in a year to just get water.
After his 143 days walking, he knew the work had just begun. Since then, he has created a nonprofit organization, MissionCleanWater to start helping underserved communities gain access to clean drinking water and sanitation.
This Saturday, June 9, and Sunday, June 10, MissionCleanWater will be selling lemonade at the Hopewell Borough community yard sale on Hart Avenue. Look for the amazing James Colella and the lemonade stand he built with his family to help people gain access to clean drinking water.
