Princeton University’s Sinfonia, conducted by Dr. Ruth Ochs, presents “A Night at the Opera” on Friday, February 23, 2024, at 7:30 p.m. in Richardson Auditorium on the Princeton University campus. The concert includes Borodin’s Overture to Prince Igor, Bizet’s Carmen Suite No. 1 and “Habanera” performed by Barbara Rearick, mezzo-soprano, a member of Princeton University’s performance faculty; Clara Schumann’s Piano Concerto performed by Kasey Shao ’25, and excerpts from Mozart’s The Magic Flute presented by students from the Princeton University Spring Opera Performance course. Rounding out the concert will be a performance of Bernstein’s Overture to Candide featuring the Princeton University Clarinet Ensemble, Jo-Ann Sternberg, director.
