A Call to All Area Artisans, Craftsmen and Makers

by Mary Galioto

Applications are now being accepted for “Handmade Hopewell,” an inaugural juried event that will showcase artisans and their craft in an outdoor setting in the heart of Hopewell Borough. The event will encompass all fine arts and crafts, including makers of consumable products such as honey and soap (however no food vendors).

“During a brainstorming moment we came up with the idea of a makers fair,” said co-organizer and local jeweler Beth Ann Judge. “We wanted to do something fun and bring people down Seminary Ave. Handmade Hopewell was conceived. We are looking forward to a robust and diverse fair.”

The event will take place along Seminary Ave (the street will be closed between East Broad Street and Columbia Avenue) on May 7 from 10-4, rain or shine. For vendors, it will be from 8-10 for set-up and 4-5 for break-down. The application deadline is March 18 and there is a $65.00 fee to vendors to cover advertising/promotional expenses.

The application is attached to this article or, for more information, check out their Facebook page, email Beth Ann Judge at [email protected] or call 609-466-6467.
