In the wake of a wild nor’easter late last week, towns throughout New Jersey scrambled to clear roads and return power to its residents. In the greater Hopewell Valley area, residents certainly have and continue to feel its effects.

“Winter Storm Riley left its mark on Hopewell Valley,” shared Hopewell Township Deputy Mayor Julie Blake in a statement to MercerMe. “I would like to take this opportunity to recognize the professionalism and dedication to service demonstrated by Hopewell Township Office of Emergency Management, Hopewell Township Police Department, Hopewell Valley Emergency Services, Hopewell Valley Public Works, Hopewell Township Health Department, Union Fire Company and Rescue Squad, Pennington Police, Pennington Fire Company, Pennington First Aid Squad, Pennington Public Works, Pennington Office of Emergency Management, Hopewell Fire Department & EMU, Hopewell Borough Public Works and Hopewell Borough Office of Emergency Management. Our Valley is very fortunate to have such amazing staff and volunteers.”
