Assault and robbery at gas station in Ewing, Investigation ongoing (Photos)

On August 21, 2016 at approximately 1606 hours, Ewing patrol units were detailed to the Hess Gas Station (1500 block Princeton Avenue) after someone observed that the gas station employee appeared to have been assaulted. Upon arrival, the victim (47 year old male) stated that he was assaulted by an unknown male and his wallet was taken. The victim was bleeding from several wounds on his face and was transported by EMS to Capital Health Regional Medical Center for treatment.

hess robbery2A review of video surveillance revealed that the suspect (black male with a beard and dread locks wearing a white t-shirt and dark colored jeans) entered the store area and waited for the attendant to come inside. When the attendant entered the store area, the suspect began punching him in the head area knocking him to the ground. The suspect then stole cash from the cash register before assaulting the victim again punching and kicking him about the face and body.
