Lawrence Township Democratic council candidate Christopher Bobbitt has defeated former councilman and Republican Bob Bostock, for the unexpired term of late councilman Stephen Brame who passed away earlier this year. Bobbitt has served on the planning board and chairs the Township’s Growth and Redevelopment Committee but this is his first foray into elected office in Lawrence. According to the Mercer County Clerk, with 21 of 21 districts reporting, Bobbitt received 59% of the vote to Rostock’s 40%, winning all but two districts.
