Bridge Replacement Projects Begin on Woosamonsa and Cherry Valley Roads

Beginning on or about October 9, 2018, a Mercer County DOT bridge replacement project will begin on Woosamonsa Road between Route 31 and Burd Road.

During construction, Woosamonsa Road up to the bridge will be open only to local residents however the bridge will be fully closed to all through-traffic. Construction hours will be between 9am and 3:30pm, Monday through Friday.

Motorists will be directed to use Burd Road, Pennington Harbourton Road, and Route 31.

This project is expected to last 60 calendar days, weather permitting.

 

On October 22 or 29, 2018, Mercer County will start its replacement of Mercer County Bridge 350.3 bridge on Cherry Valley Road between Great Road and Province Line Road.

The road will be closed during construction from Province Line Road to County Route 601 with traffic detoured as shown on this linked Detour Plan Map (PDF). Note: The bridge is located in marked Detail Area “B” on the detour plan map. The detour route for this project is Province Line Road to Georgetown-Franklin Turnpike (CR 518) to Great Road.

The bridge is scheduled to re-open on January 20 or 27, 2019.
