Brotherhood Ride 2015 Coming Through Princeton and Hopewell, Cycling for Fallen Heroes

Cycling through six states in six days, The Brotherhood Ride, an organization that consists of firefighters, law enforcement officers and EMS personnel who ride bicycles to honor emergency first responders who have died in the line of duty, will be embarking on a 500 mile ride from Emmitsburg, Maryland to Boston Massachusetts, to honor 27 fallen heroes.

On September 12, the team of 35 riders and 18 support members will be coming right through both Pennington and Hopewell to arrive at The Princeton Elks Lodge, their stop for the night.

The Princeton Elks, on Route 518 in Skillman, NJ, will be gathering with anyone interested in welcoming the cyclists and thank them for their tireless efforts to bring awareness and recognition to fallen heroes across the country. The general public is welcome to come to not only to the lodge to welcome the cyclists, but also to line the streets to cheer them on their way through our communities.

Through year-round fundraising efforts, the Brotherhood Ride has been able to honor, over the past seven years, the Brotherhood Ride has honored the memory and sacrifice of a total of 468 emergency first responders including firefighters, law enforcement officers and emergency medical personnel, and has traveled on bicycles over a total of 5,700 miles through sixteen states and have been hosted and sister by over fort Elks Lodges nationwide. The organization’s mission is to provide emotional and financial support to the families on or near the anniversary of their death.
