Carter Road PSE&G Underground Construction through July

by Community Contributor

PSE&G and their approved contractors are working underground on the public rights of way in Hopewell and Lawrence Townships, along Carter Road, between Cherry Valley Road and Cold Soil Road. The initial phase of the project is complete, and included the construction of the underground manholes and road restoration. At this time, crews are working to install electrical cable and controls. Work will take place between 8am and 6pm, Monday through Friday, as well as nights and weekends as needed. This activity is scheduled to be completed July 2022, weather permitting.

To safely complete this portion of work, a road closure will be utilized in the work area during the work hours listed above. Detours and flaggers will be in place to redirect traffic. Residents within the work zone will have access to their property. Delivery companies (UPS, FedEx, Amazon, etc.) Waste Management, the Postal Service, and school buses will also be allowed in the work area. PSE&G will work with the local police to safely control the flow of traffic for motorists and pedestrians.

It is essential that you and everyone using your property, including children and pets, refrain from going near our construction work zones.
