Charges Filed in Brandon Farms Car Robberies

by Andrea Fereshteh

An email to residents of the Brandon Farms neighborhood in Hopewell Township today from Hopewell Township Police Chief Lance Maloney said formal charges have been filed against two suspects in regards to the car burglaries and stolen vehicles which were reported on July 1st. These suspects have also been charged with the stolen vehicle and car burglaries which occurred in Hopewell Borough in June, the email said.

“Due to ongoing investigations with other police agencies I am not at liberty to go into specifics concerning these investigations at this time,” Maloney wrote in the email. “Additional charges may be filed once additional suspects are identified and apprehended.”

Maloney encouraged residents to remain vigilante and to report any suspicious activity to the police department immediately. He also recommended that residents still lock their cars and take valuables into their homes.

Maloney also said officers have been instructed to keep up with the increased patrols in the neighborhoods. Anyone that may have additional information regarding these incidents are asked to contact the police department at 609-737-3100.
