Classic Cars and Family Fun “Cruise” into Hopewell Boro Friday Night

by Ryan Kennedy

The Hopewell Boro Economic Development Commission’s fall Cruise Night is set for Friday September 19, between 5:00 and 8:00pm on Broad Street in downtown Hopewell.

With the streets lined with classic cars, Borough businesses and restaurants open their doors to a vibrant walkable festival atmosphere.  From Paint the Roses at the western end of town, to the Brick Farm Market on the eastern end, eateries and retail establishments throughout town have exciting plans for the evening.

It’s “music, food, cars and fun!” said Clark Reed,  owner of Da’s Kitchen and Jack & Charlie’s 23 in the Borough, and member of the town’s Economic Development Commission. “Cruise night has become a local social gathering” and a “throwback to the 50’s when cars in American were king.”  In addition to their regular fare, Reed will be serving up “Brown Cow” birch beer floats and live music from the Jack and Charlie’s front porch.  Representatives from S.A.V.E. animal rescue will also be on hand with information on animals in need of adoption.
