Community Ice Cream Social to be Hosted Hopewell Harvest Fair Board of Trustees

by MercerMe Staff

To kick off the planning season for the 30th Annual Hopewell Harvest Fair, being held on September 24, 2016, the Harvest Fair Board of Trustees is inviting the public to a free ice cream social at the Hopewell Boro Train Station on Thursday, April 14, 7–8:30 PM.

In addition to a sundae bar sure to delight all ages, attendees will be able to share memories, give feedback on the Fair, and brainstorm ideas for this year’s event. There will even be an opportunity for youngsters to try a game or two. The Board hopes to meet many members of the community!

The Harvest Fair Planning Committee will begin meeting in May to commence the planning of this fall’s 30th Fair. The Board is looking for new volunteers who want to make a difference in their community. Many people may not realize that in addition to providing a day of family fun to the entire Hopewell Valley, the Harvest Fair is also a fundraiser for the Community Grants Program, which awards small grants to local nonprofit organizations. Getting involved is not only a great community leadership opportunity, it’s also rewarding and a lot of fun! The ice cream social is a great, no-pressure way to learn more about volunteering and ask Board members any questions.

This year’s Hopewell Harvest Fair will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016 (raindate 9/25), on the grounds of the Hopewell Elementary School in Hopewell Boro. To learn more about the Fair, please visit hopewellharvestfair.org.
