Coronavirus update: Schools closed in Bucks County

The Bucks County Courier Times is reporting this morning that five Central Bucks County schools were closed this morning citing “an abundance of caution”.  The District is reacting to the information that some individuals in the district were exposed to a confirmed case of the novel coronavirus.

Reports indicate that, worldwide, few children have contracted the virus so far, but on Monday, New Jersey governor Phil Murphy’s staff indicated that schools should remain vigilant. 

Pennington’s own Judith Persichilli, the State Health Commissioner, said:  “We understand that the public is concerned, but I want to assure you that we are taking all steps available to protect the residents of New Jersey.”
