County Clerk’s Office to Hold Ballot Drawing Via Facebook Live

by Community Contributor

In keeping with social distancing precautions, on Thursday, April 9, Mercer County Clerk Paula Sollami Covello’s office will hold the legally required ballot drawing for the June 2 Primary Election via Facebook Live. For this reason, reporters and members of the public should avoid coming to the County Clerk’s Office.

Deputy Clerk Walker Worthy will conduct the drawing due to the fact that County Clerk Paula Sollami Covello is on the ballot this year.

Additionally, the County Clerk is encouraging all voters to apply to vote by mail in time for the Primary Election to avoid potential crowding at polling places on Election Day. You can download an application at https://nj.gov/state/elections/vote-by-mail.shtml or call us at 609-989-6494 and you will receive one in order to vote in June, November or in all future elections. The earliest ballots for the Primary Election will be mailed out by mid-April.
