HV Green Week – Mercer County Park Commission: Rosedale Park Tree Planting

April 24

Mercer County Park Commission: Rosedale Park Tree Planting

Socially distant event at Rosedale Park, 424 Federal City Road, Pennington

Saturday, April 24, shifts available from 9 am-noon and from 1-4 pm

On Saturday, April 24, 2021 the Park Commission will be hosting volunteers for a tree planting at Rosedale Park. Through the week of April 19th, we hope to plant 1,600 native trees and shrubs that will provide habitat for wildlife and improve water quality in the Stony Brook, portions of which have received the highest level of protection from the State of New Jersey due to its ecological value. This effort builds on two other Stony Brook focused plantings that occurred in 2019 and 2020. From 2019 through the end of this year, volunteers will have planted 6,000 trees and shrubs to benefit the Stony Brook. Participants are required to wear masks and follow all CDC, state, and local health guidelines.

Saturday volunteer opportunities for individual sign ups are closed. Please contact arivera@mercercounty.org if you are representing a group of people (such as a scout group) interested in volunteering from 1 – 4 pm.
