LHT Celebrate Trails

The Lawrence Hopewell Trail will host a combined walk and bicycle ride on Saturday, April 23, in recognition of “Celebrate Trails Day,” an annual spring celebration of America’s trails.
The event starts at 9:30 a.m. at the ETS parking lot on Assessment Road south of Messick Hall, near the trail kiosk. Leading the walkers on a two-mile walk will be LHT Trustees Becky Taylor and Leslie Floyd, while Trustee Ruth Markoe will lead cyclists on an eight-mile ride.
“Celebrate Trails Day” was started by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy in 2013. The celebration encourages people across the country to get outside and enjoy the nation’s exceptional trails and trail systems.
