There are vulnerable and at-risk youth in our community who must overcome the effects of abuse, neglect, homelessness, chronic illnesses, and more. At LifeTies, it is our goal to provide a nurturing, safe environment for these youth to heal, learn and become equipped with the tools to work towards the brighter, successful future that they deserve.
Would you like to help us make a positive impact in their lives? We are in need of volunteers with diverse skills to assist with helping our youth to meet their potentials. Share your knowledge and help our youth attain necessary life skills and healthy living through workshops and activities on topics such as, career and resume counseling, budgeting, cooking, and exercise and nutrition. Share your passions, your talents, your hobbies, and your experiences. Be the caring, positive role model that you already are.
To become a LifeLink Volunteer, you need only be at least 21 years old and pass all background checks. Time commitments can be as little as an hour or two every few months or as much as an hour or two every week.
We have additional volunteer opportunities with our TILT Mentoring Program. Mentors engage in building caring, nurturing relationships with individual youth to help develop character, social skills, career interests, and educational choices. Mentors who are at least 21 and pass all background checks must commit to at least 4 hours a month for 1 year.
We also have opportunities for corporations and community groups for one-day service activities. You may also be interested in providing professional services or getting involved with special projects on an administrative level. These volunteers help us continue to work towards our mission: Nurturing wellness and self-sufficiency in vulnerable youth, young adults and their families.
Whatever your interests, we have a volunteer opportunity for you. Join us at one of our informational sessions to learn about LifeTies and how you can volunteer your time and skills to make a better tomorrow. RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org or 609-414-2083
