Local non-profit hosts a Roaring 20s-themed celebration
March 21 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Beginning at 6pm on Saturday, March 21, 2020, HOPE LOVES COMPANY will host a razzmatazz Roarin’ 20s evening in Titusville’s Union Fire Company and Rescue Squad Ballroom. Live music, delicious food prepared by local restaurants, tricky tray, and the opportunity to meet and mingle in swanky flapper style. It will be a real bees knees event! And adding to the celebratory fun, four special HLC guests will be honored for their service and commitment to the Hope Loves Company mission.
Delicious food for the event will be prepared and donated by Cugino’s Italian Market, Emily’s Café & Catering, Pennington Bagel, and more! Tricky tray prizes include items donated by Starbucks Bordentown, Pinot’s Palette Princeton, Jersey Girl Café, the Princeton Festival, and more!
HOPE LOVES COMPANY, Inc. is the only non-profit and 501c(3) in the United States with the mission of providing both emotional and educational support to children and young adults who have had or have a loved one battling ALS. Its premier program, Camp HLC, is a free weekend retreat for children and families affected by ALS. Camp HLC provides encouragement and support along with fun activities like ropes course, hiking, and more. Local families return to the New Jersey Camp held at Fairview Lakes YMCA each year in May. Camp HLC also takes place in Indiana, Massachusetts, Illinois, Florida, and California.
ALS is a neuromuscular disease that causes damage to the nerve cells controlling voluntary muscle movement. Currently, there is no known cause or cure for ALS. There are approximately 30,000 people in the United States who live with ALS and it is estimated that 85% of them have children. HOPE LOVES COMPANY was founded by Titusville’s Jodi O’Donnell-Ames, who lost her husband to ALS in 2001.
All proceeds from the Night of Hope will support HOPE LOVES COMPANY, its mission and free programs for families affected by ALS. Visit www.hopelovescompany.org or call 609-730-1144 to learn more.
