Nature Walk with Naturalists

Jun 1, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Naturalists Henry and Betty Horn will lead a walk to “read the landscape and talk about what we see” on the upland, western part of the preserve.

This hike will begin at the Cedar Ridge Preserve’s Stony Brook Road parking lot.

Advance registration is required. Subscribe to SC’s eNewsletter to receive event information and registration links www.tiny.cc/SCeNewsletter. Visit SC’s new online calendar at https://www.sourland.org/meeting-and-calendar-events.

Henry, now Professor Emeritus, has taught in Princeton University’s Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology since 1966, and Betty has been Curator of the Biological Collections of the University’s Museum of Natural History since 1978. The couple’s interests span the behavior of birds and insects, wildflowers from blooming and pollination to seed dispersal, and trees from twigs to forest structure to their effects on global climate change. Betty and Henry see beauty in almost everything else, and love to share their joy in natural history.
