The Amazing Pumpkin Carve is Hopewell Valley Arts Council’s BIGGEST event of the year — a four-day family-friendly fall festival in celebration of forty giant pumpkins carved by local artists.
In our 5th year, activities include: art show & sale (Art Walk) • live music performances • community decorated scarecrows • evening storytelling around fire pits • hay bale playground • guess-the-weight pumpkin • hay bale playground • pumpkin sales & painting • photo-ops… and more!

|special tickets only||6-8pm: Watch the Carvers Reception – Want to see the carvers in action? This special event gives you a peek before the Carve is open to the public. Tickets are $40 and include special event access, cider, nibbles & fun fiddler music by the trio, Fiddlesticks. Tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance. Click here!|
|4-9pm||7-7:30pm: “Thriller” and “Time Warp” dance by students of The Pennington Studio7:30-9pm: BoXoRox – favorite rock tunes played by local grown-ups|
|11am-9pm||1:30-3:30pm: The MLC Band – local tribute band performing the best in classic rock4-6pm: Mixed Nuts – local trio playing an eclectic mix of original and cover songs
7-7:30pm: Vocal performances by students of The Pennington Studio
7:30-9pm: Uncle Skunk – Trenton-based band performing soulful blend of hard rock, blues and progressive rock
Late-afternoon/evening: storytelling around fire pits with s’mores
