“Virtually Yours” Digital Performance Series (The Princeton Festival)
June 22 - July 19
The Princeton Festival’s free digital performance series, Virtually Yours, begins June 1 and continues daily through June 28. Offerings include instrumental and vocal music, musical theater, opera, poetry, lectures, podcasts, and more. Series highlights include:
- An evening of live musical theatre performances by Festival artists on Saturday, June 20, at 8 PM
- Opera streams of The Princeton Festival’s past productions of Puccini’s Madama Butterfly (6/7), Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro (6/14), John Adams’s Nixon in China (6/21), and Wagner’s The Flying Dutchman (6/28). The Sunday afternoon performances begin at 1 PM
- Lectures by Professor Timothy Urban on “Why We Love Opera” (6/4) and Professor Stacy Wolf on “Beyond Broadway: The Pleasure and Promise of Musical Theater across America” (6/18)
- Radio broadcasts of select 2019 Festival performances by Concordia Chamber Players (6/5), Princeton Festival Baroque Orchestra (6/12), pianist Rachel Cheung (6/19), and Princeton Festival Baroque Orchestra and Chorus (6/26).
