SUMMARY:Washington Crossing West Windsor
DESCRIPTION:A reenactment of Washington crossing West Windsor during the night of January 2–3\, 1777\, on his march to the Battle of Princeton\, showcasing the local township’s vital contributions to American independence during the Ten Crucial Days. \nThe reenactment features seventh-generation descendants of the historic Flock family as narrators. The family’s later homestead hosted the capture of British cavalrymen\, an event that provided the crucial intelligence General Washington needed to pivot toward the Battle of Princeton. Furthermore\, family members served as direct eyewitnesses to the historic West Windsor march. Today\, these descendants speak for their fourth-generation granduncle\, aunt\, and cousin.
