This Saturday August 9th from 10-4, don’t miss Stonybrook-Millstone Watershed’s Butterfly Festival, “Flying Colors!”

It will be loads of natural educational butterfly fun — butterfly exhibits, butterfly and bug parade, an insect zoo, hay rides, nature walks around the Watershed, and interactive-enviro-zones.
Also, guests can enjoy the tunes of The Dadz, as well as the Grammy-winner kid’s musical artist, Miss Amy. Local food will be available for purchase by a variety of vendors including Hopewell Borough’s Antimo’s Pizza.
The cost is $25 per carload (or $10 per person) or get your discounted tickets online ahead of time. Parking is available at Bristol Meyer’s through the delivery entrance on Titus Mill Road across the road from the Watershed with a free shuttle to the festival.
For an additional fee of $10, you can take an upcycling crochet class with 3RBags and turn plastic bags into a reusable tote. The class is at 1:30 and you get a crochet hook and a pair of scissors to keep.
The Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Association is central New Jersey’s first environmental group. Since 1949 they have worked to protect water and environment through conservation, advocacy, science and education with a goal to improve the health and quality of central New Jersey’s water and sustain a network of protected habitats for wildlife and people.
