Hopewell Harvest Fair’s 32nd Year is a Success (PHOTOS)

by Mary Galioto

The 32nd Annual Hopewell Harvest Fair was held on on Saturday, September 22, 2018, on the grounds of Hopewell Elementary School in Hopewell, NJ.

Attendees enjoyed gorgeous weather plus activities for kids of all ages including games, a petting zoo with Mercer County 4H Clever Clovers, pony rides, inflatables, make-your-own scarecrows, face-painting, free demos with Hopewell Fire Dept., and plus live music, contests, the famous live scavenger hunt (Find Freddy), a crafters tent, a farmers market and business alley and exhibitors row. MercerMe was proud to have been a sponsor at this year’s Hopewell Harvest Fair, a true fall tradition in Hopewell.

When reached for comment, Hopewell Harvest Fair planning committee chairperson Heidi Wilenius shared,

“I am so proud of the whole team of volunteers who made this year’s fair a truly smashing success! The success of the Harvest Fair is not measured in dollars. It is measured by watching the day unfold, and by seeing our community come together and make new connections and renew old ones– as individuals, as non-profit groups, as artists, as farmers, and as local business owners and employees.

And – as the frosting on the cake – the day was also a financial success. Many of our vendors reported their best years ever – some actually doubling their sales. Fair revenue was up dramatically, and with our new formula in Kid’s Korner, over $1,500 is being paid this week to the non-profit groups who ran activities. More support for local non-profits will be awarded through our Community Grant Program.  Applications are due October 5th, please visit our website for information, and follow us @hopewellharvestfair to stay in the loop.

Thank you to all of the volunteers, supporting organizations, and local businesses who make our Fair – and our whole town – a  truly wonderful place to be. To learn more about  the Fair, and how you can get involved in any capacity – please visit our website and follow @hopewellharvestfair on Facebook and Instagram.”

Mark your calendars now for next year’s Hopewell Harvest Fair on September 21, 2019!
