Hopewell Township Police Blotter: Theft, Harassment, Disorderly Conduct

The following is the police blotter provided by Hopewell Township Police Department:

Theft: On 6-1-17 at 4:00 pm, Officer Brian Dendis was dispatched to The Capital Health Medical on the report of the theft of a cellphone. Based on his investigation, a suspect was charged with the theft of the $700.00 phone.  His case will be forwarded to the Mercer County Prosecutors Office.

Disorderly Conduct/Maintaining a Nuisance/Open Burning: On 6-5-17 at 1:47 PM, Officer Lincoln Karnoff and other members of the Department responded to a residence on Rt 31 near Yard Road on the report of open burning. During the investigation, Officer Karnoff arrested a male individual for Disorderly Conduct/Maintaining a Nuisance/Open Burning. He was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters for processing. His case will be heard in municipal court.

Harassment: On 6-2-17, Officer Sara Erwin charged a female from Medofrd Lakes NJ for Harassment after an incident that occurred between her and a victim in the parking lot of the Capital Health Medical Center on June 2, 2017.  Her case will be heard in municipal court.

DWI: On 6-3-17 at 1:34 AM, Officer Kevin Koveloski stopped a 2015 Toyota on Broad Street for speeding [40/25].  While speaking with the driver, who was identified as a female from Pennington NJ, the Officer smelled alcohol on her breath and person. After roadside sobriety testing, she was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. She was processed and released after being cited for DWI, Reckless Driving and Speeding. Her case will be heard in municipal court.

DWI: On 6-10-17 at 11:53 PM, Officer Robert Voorhees responded to the report of a disabled vehicle in the construction zone on Rt 31 near Ingleside Avenue. While speaking with the driver, who was identified as a female from Orange NJ, he smelled the odor of alcohol on her breath and person. After roadside sobriety, testing she was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. She was processed and released after being cited for DWI, DWI within a School Zone, Reckless Driving and Improper Use of the Left Lane. She was released to a friend. Her case will be heard in municipal court.
