Hopewell Township resident dies – victim of COVID-19

Hopewell Township has announced the death of a resident as a result of the COVID-19 virus.

On its website, this morning, the Township noted that there are now 37 active cases in the Township and one death. The number of cases is up one from yesterday.

Hopewell Township Committee Member Julie Blake, who is chair of the Township’s Board of Health, stated that the municipality is only provided with numbers and are given no identifying information about the victim.

The first official count of active cases in the Township came March 28 when 13 cases were reported. Mercer County reported Monday that there is one active case in Pennington Borough and two in Hopewell Borough. Click here for more data.
