The Hopewell Valley Arts is co-hosting “Joy in the Everyday,” the first-ever exhibition of works by members of the HV Arts Council at Capital Health-Hopewell Investors Bank Art & Healing Gallery. The public is invited to attend the opening reception on Thursday, January 10 from 6-7:30pm and view the show on display through March 25.

“The holidays are a magical time of celebration, light, and wishes for peace and good fortune in the coming year. Artists get to wield their own brand of magic by transmitting personal feelings of joy and inspiration to those who view their art,” said HV Arts Council Board of Trustees president, Carol Lipson.

This diverse portfolio of work was created by supporters of the HV Arts Council and includes joyful images by both amateur and accomplished artists, from self-taught to professionally trained. Each piece of art is also displayed with the artists’ own thoughts about how self-expression brings joy and the great delight in the act of art-making.

“This show is a perfect representation of what we are about — creating art brings joy to everyone,” said Lipson. “And we hope it is contagious!”
