Hopewell Valley Youth Chorale Hosted the Arizona Boy Choir

by MercerMe Staff

Following a performance at Carnegie Hall, the Tuscon Arizona Boys Chorus visited the Hopewell Valley Youth Chorale for rehearsals and a joint community concert late last month. The concert, which took place at the Pennington Presbyterian Church, included songs performed by each choir (the Arizona performance included their renown spinning lasso maneuvers) and the concert ended with the combined choirs singing HVYC’s signature song, “Give Us Hope.”

The Arizona choristers stayed with HVYC host families for a few days, before heading to Temple University for their final east coast performance.  HVYC will be doing their own traveling when they perform at the Sing-a-Mile-High Festival in Denver, Colorado in late June.

Celebrating their 10th anniversary this year, The Hopewell Valley Youth Chorale has provided children in the greater Hopewell area an opportunity to explore, prepare and perform a diverse repertoire of choral music since 2006, while giving back to the community through donations to charities and performances at senior care facilities and community events.  Join them at the Pennington Presbyterian Church for their Spring Concert on Sunday, June 12th at 4:00PM.  Auditions are open for the 2016-2017 year.   Visit www.hvyc.org for more information.
