Hopewell’s Food Truck Friday PLUS Stay to Shop Local

by Mary Galioto

Hopewell Boro has caught the food truck craze!

On Friday June 27th between 5PM-9:30PM, “Food Truck Friday” is happening right at Hopewell Boro’s train station on Railroad Place.

But once you’ve come into Hopewell Boro, why not stay and check out our great downtown businesses? MercerMe has created a Business “Walking Tour” in cooperation with some of our great shops. Check below for more details!

Food Truck Friday will be a carnival of delicacies plus music from The Tigertown Dixieland Band.

Two of Hopewell Boro’s own will be in attendance: Nomad Pizza will be appearing in their iconic restored 1949 REO Speedwagon that has been outfitted complete with a pizza oven. And Jack & Charlie’s will be serving up ice cream and hot dogs.

The rest of the trucks are also from New Jersey! You’ll be able to enjoy a taste of the sea (and land) with Hamilton’s own Surf & Turf Truck, who will be offering their famous lobster rolls plus more. The (famous) Taco Truck is coming over from Hoboken. And then, for those sweet lovers, Princeton’s mobile cakery, the Cupcake Carnivale will be in attendance. At Mercer County’s Food Truck Festival, cupcakes sold out. Not to cause panic. But panic. Must. Get. Cupcakes.

Now you need to walk this off!

MercerMe has organized a self-guided business “walking tour” in cooperation with some of Hopewell Boro’s very charming shops. It is a “light mile” because you’ll be stopping and shopping along the way.
