Hunger Is Dead! Benefit Concert to Support Hopewell Valley Food Pantry

by Community Contributor

Music, community and a shared commitment to helping neighbors in need will come together at Woolsey Park Bandshell this June for Hunger Is Dead!, a free outdoor benefit concert supporting the Hopewell Valley Food Pantry.

The event will take place on Sunday, June 14, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Woolsey Park Bandshell, 221 Washington Crossing-Pennington Road, Titusville.

Organizers describe the afternoon as a celebration of live music and community spirit, with all proceeds benefiting the Hopewell Valley Food Pantry and its mission to address food insecurity in the region.

The concert will feature three performances:

  • 1 p.m. — John Morgan Kimock & Friends (acoustic set)
  • 2:30 p.m. — Far From Dead (electric set)
  • 4 p.m. — Mike Tusay’s Rockcital

Admission is free, though attendees are encouraged to make a suggested donation of $25. Non-perishable food donations will also be accepted and are welcomed throughout the event.

Guests are encouraged to bring their own food and beverages, along with lawn chairs and blankets. Organizers ask attendees to follow a carry-in, carry-out policy to help keep the park clean.

Food and refreshments will also be available for purchase from Nomad Pizza Truck and Uncle Ed’s.

The family-friendly event aims to raise awareness and support for the Hopewell Valley Food Pantry while providing an afternoon of live music in one of the township’s most scenic outdoor venues.
