In Memoriam: William E. Seas, Jr.

by Community Contributor

It is with deep regret that it has become necessary to announce the passing of Hopewell Township Police Department Captain William E. Seas, Jr (Retired), 87.

Captain Seas served the citizens of Hopewell Township for decades before retiring in 1998. The Captain rose through the ranks before being promoted to the Rank of Captain in 1995.

During his time with the Department, Bill served in many capacities including Juvenile Officer, School Safety Officer and as the Department’s Range Master. The Hopewell Township Police Firearms Training Facility was named in his honor upon his retirement.

A proud Navy Veteran, the Captain was an active member of the Hopewell Valley Veterans Association.

The flags at the Hopewell Valley September 11th and Emergency Services Memorial will be lowered to half staff in his honor.

We thank him for his service to the community and pray that he Rests in Peace.

Rest easy Captain, you’ve ridden your Last Patrol. We’ve got the watch Sir.

Funeral arrangements will be posted when complete
