Kindergarten registration for the 2018-19 school year will begin on Tuesday, January 2nd for parents of children anticipating entering kindergarten in the Hopewell Valley Regional School district next fall. (Children must be five years old on or before October 1, 2018, per Board policy #5112).
Registration forms are available online through the district website. Go to www.hvrsd.org and click on the “Registrar” link located under the Main Menu/Offices. The “Kindergarten Registration” page provides an overview and link to required forms.
After completing the forms, call and make an appointment with the Registrar’s Office at 737-4002 ext. 2306. Bring these forms, as well as an original birth certificate with a raised seal (or a copy with a raised seal) and proof of residency, to your appointment. Acceptable proof of residency includes a deed/lease showing signatures of both parties (dated for current school year), signed sales contract with street address, or settlement statement. We will also accept a current tax bill with a valid NJ driver’s license. Both the tax bill and license must have matching addresses. Upon completion of this process, you will receive a packet of information regarding the school district, as well as additional reading material. Offices are located in the Hopewell Valley Regional School District Building at 425 S. Main Street, Pennington.
School visits will be held at the four elementary schools on the following dates: Bear Tavern on March 26-28, Toll Gate Grammar on March 27-29, Hopewell Elementary on March 26-28, and Stony Brook on April 10-12. Appointments must be made for the school visits when registering.
