Kindergarten registration for the 2017-18 school year will begin on Tuesday, January 3rd, for parents of children anticipating entering kindergarten in the Hopewell Valley Regional School district next fall. (Children must be five years old on or before October 1, 2017, per Board policy #5112).
Registration forms are available online through the district website: http://www.hvrsd.org/apps/pages/KindergartenRegistration. Print and follow the directions for completing the forms. Required registration forms are found on the Registration Forms page.
After completing the forms, call and make an appointment with the Registrar’s Office at 737-4002 ext. 2304. Bring these forms, as well as an original birth certificate with a raised seal (or a copy with a raised seal) and proof of residency, to your appointment. Acceptable proof of residency includes a deed/lease showing signatures of both parties (dated for current school year), signed sales contract with street address, or settlement statement. We will also accept a current tax bill with a valid NJ driver’s license. Both the tax bill and license must have matching addresses. Upon completion of this process, you will receive a packet of information regarding the school district, as well as additional reading material.
School visits will be held at the four elementary schools on the following dates: Bear Tavern on April 11-12, Toll Gate Grammar on March 28 -30, Hopewell Elementary on March 27 – March 29, and Stony Brook on April 17-19.
Appointments must be made for the school visits when registering and will be given on a first-come, first-served basis.
