Lawrenceville Main Street Music in the Park to feature the RGM Project

by Mary Galioto

Lawrenceville Main Street will be welcoming back the RGM Project, a contemporary blues/jazz/funk fusion band, to the stage of the 16th season of Music in the Park this Thursday night, July 7, 2016 at 7pm.

The RGM Project, formed in 2009 from a collaborative recording project, features original compositions and arrangements of Bernie Klemmer, vocal stylings of Bethanne Reid, saxes/horn arrangements of Andrew Neu. Other members include bassist Rob Cochran, pianist Fran Danis, drummer Matt Curran, and guitarists Mark Walsh, Peter Neu, Chuck Gottesman, Brian Pastor, John Fioravanti, Bill Washer, and Sal Centola. The RGM Project continues to work with multi-Grammy award winning producer, Phil Nicolo, of Studio 4, where finishing touches are being put on the tracks for RGM Project’s upcoming CD release.

Music in the Park is a free 10-week concert program, that runs every Thursday at 7:00pm in Weeden Park from June 23rd to August 25th, bringing top-notch entertainment paired with a different featured restaurant each week at the concert cafe, which opens at 6:30pm. The cafe for this week is Acacia.

Back by popular demand, there will be a 50/50 raffle and Lawrenceville Main Street, will again be selling picnic blankets, wine-to-go tumblers, and reusable wine-to-go bags. All proceeds help offset the costs involved in bringing high-quality musicians to Lawrenceville. As a small, volunteer-led non-profit dedicated to improving the community we live, work and play in, Lawrenceville Main Street appreciates your continued support.

In the event of less-than-stellar weather, a message will be on the Lawrenceville Main Street voicemail by 4pm on the day of the concert at 609-219-9300. Additionally, weather updates will be posted on the Lawrenceville Main Street Facebook page. And (new this year!), you can join the reminder system that will send a text each Thursday with the band and restaurant, or in the event of inclement weather, a notification of whether the concert is a go or cancelled. Send a text to 81010 to join with the code @b6a2hg as the message.
