Letter to the Editor: Every election, every vote counts

by Community Contributor

To the Editor:

State, County and local officials are up for election in New Jersey this year. They manage a lot of different things — and their decisions will directly affect your life.

Here’s just a few of the things they’re responsible for: local schools, public safety, affordable housing, public transit, alcohol and marijuana ordinances, job training programs, and the list goes on and on, all the way down to your recycling options and trash collection. Last but not least, State and local governments lead the way when the federal government doesn’t. All resistance is local.

Your vote will make a difference. Typically, just one in five voters participate in off-year local elections like this one — meaning your vote at the local level can have an even bigger impact.

Every election, every Vote counts.

Pennington Democratic Committee: Arthur Firestone, Reba Holley, Joseph Lawver, Dan Pace, Nadine Stern, Lee White
